Professional Experience:

Hurst Technologies, Inc - Jacksonville, Florida
Webmaster / Sr. Web Developer / Graphic Artist, 2000 to present.

Lead Developer on a 4-person team that created two database driven, secure Internet banking applications utilizing a 4-tier architecture. Presentation tiers included ASP, DHTML, XML, JavaScript, VBScript and CSS technologies. Business logic tiers utilized IIS 5.0, MTS and SQL Server 2000. Webmaster for 5 Eva Mae Hurst Co. websites. Responsibilities included maintenance of existing sites and new site development. Highlights of accomplishments:

  • Designed, developed and implemented Hurst Technologies, Inc. website (http://www.hursttechnologies.com). Site features a dynamic Flash introduction screen. Development of the main site consisted of DHTML, CSS and JavaScript applications. Time from conception to deployment was 120 hours, including server configuration, graphic and multimedia creation and code development.
  • Designed and developed two secure online banking applications. One system handled ACH transactions; the other application featured a Loan Co-Brokerage System. Each application's architecture consisted of ASP, DHTML, XML, JavaScript, VBScript, CSS, IIS, MTS and SQL technologies. Key contributions included development of the IIS configurations, user security schema, ASP templates and site navigation. Created an interactive ASP calendar, which displayed scheduled run dates and developed a custom messaging system for users.

    Cotelligent, Inc - Jacksonville, Florida
    Webmaster / Sr. Web Developer / Graphic Artist, 1997 to 2000.

    Developed over 30 different web interfaces including 3 revisions of the company website (http://www.cotelligent-jax.com). Served as mentor for 6 developers learning HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, VBScript and ASP technologies. Responsibilities included functioning as Lead Developer on teams containing as many as 15 programmers and analysts. Created and developed prototypes for sales presentations and provided a technical resource for sales staff on client visits, working closely with CEO level executives. Major accomplishments included:

  • Developed and delivered lesson plans for company's Web Bootcamp, a 2-week course in developing Internet applications. Instructed class of 7 developers in DHTML, CSS and JavaScript technologies over a period of 3 days at Cotelligent's home office in Irvine, California.
  • Created, developed and implemented a custom web portal focused on women's issues. Features flash presentations, personalized interface, data driven content, banner ad management system, advanced search features and a browser based content management section. Key challenges were to provide a site with interfaces customized to a user's preference that was scalable and easy to maintain. ASP templates and cookie profiles helped meet the client's objective.
  • Created and implemented ASP template system for online banking applications, allowing for production of n-number of sections using modular code. This minimized the need for time consuming code development for each section and cut the risk of coding errors.
  • Converted existing DOS/Windows based student loan application to a secure Internet application. The site utilizes IIS, SQL, ASP, SSL, VBScript, JavaScript and custom Active-X controls. Responsibilities as Lead Developer included close client interaction at the upper management level on a weekly basis. This application is featured as a success story on Cotelligent's home website.

    InterTech, Inc - Jacksonville, Florida
    Webmaster / Graphic Artist, 1995 to 1997.

    Designed 3 company websites and 4 client sites. Created and developed prototypes for sales presentations and provided a technical resource for sales staff on client visits, working closely with CEO level executives. Primary accomplishments included:
